non looping gif

very disappointed with easy gif. I set it to run the gif once, but it loops continuously anyway. Contacted support at Blumentals, they told me a gif is a continuous feature and all gifs always loop endlessly. Chap obviously doesn't know what he's talking about. Why is there an option to make it run only once? And why doesn't it work? Not paying money for this stuff if that's the standard

I checked with the support and there was a misunderstanding. Sorry about that.
I just tried out the following - opened GIF animation, checked "Repeat 1 times" and then pressed Preview in Browser - and the animation played once.
