Is optimization possible if background is transparent?

I've created a white text on transparent background animation.

Is "transparent" considered a "color"? Optimizing as two colors didn't work.

What settings should work to further compress an animated GIF that's white on transparent?

I'm not sure but maybe 2 colors won't support transparency. Try optimizing for 4 colors, I don't think you'll see any size difference.
