Documentation text file area

Post by horsey-kim »

I've been working on large projects that involve databases and user interaction. These projects often have numerous tables, fields, and settings. I usually make notes within the PHP script I'm working on, but it would be helpful to have a dedicated area for project notes.

It would be great if there was an automated feature where the file name serves as the project name and allows for note-taking. For instance, having a link to "Notes" off to the right of my screen that opens an area for writing or copying and pasting notes would be very convenient.

Currently, I split my window screen and open several text files in Notepad for note-taking. However, having the ability to take notes directly in Webuilder, with the option to format text (e.g., bold, underline, change text color), would be really useful. It would also be beneficial to have the capability for multiple note files to track comments related to code and associated files, as well as database names and fields being used.

If there's a tool or feature like this available, I would love to learn about it. Just an idea!
