Hi,
Using latest HTML Pad 7.1 version.
Not able to open pages from web (File->Open from WEB). I am getting:
"The specified URL could not be opened"
(tried with www.cnn.com and others)
and doesn't work even when my firewall is disabled.

Try entering http://www.cnn.com (do not miss http://)
Obviously it is either a firewall or the built-in windows firewall or your Internet connection configuration, because it works just fine when we test it and other users have confirmed this, so I would suggest to re-check your internet connectivity as we have double checked this.

Cannot connect to WEB
No, it's not the connection nor the firewall.
Actually, it works when I have normal user credentials, but when I start HTML Pad with administrator credentials, it doesn't.
Please advice.
