Blank blue screen after installing Program Protector 2.0

After installing Program Protector my Windows 2000 machine doesn't finish booting correctly. I get to the login screen and start logging in but I get a BLANK blue screen that doesn't go away (not the blue screen of death). I reboot the machine in safe mode and remove Program Protector and the machine boots fine. I tried the program on several machines (all configured the same) and got the same result. The machines are patched up to SP4. Please Help.

I seem to have resolved the problem by downloading ALL of the critical updates from Microsoft.
