Keep selection after find/replace within "Selected Text

Post by syrupcore »

Would it be possible to keep your selection after doing a find and replace within "Selected Text"?

It would do two good things for me:
1) allow me to verify visually that only text within my initial selection was replaced (I'm stilllll scared of find and replace)
2) allow me to replace something else within the same selection without having to select again.

on point 2), it's so great that Webuilder keeps the find and replace dialog open (with opacity settings even!). If I'm trying to replace a series of things within the same block of text (fairly often), the modal dialog and 'frozen' selection would really rock.

thanks for reading,
Will

Yes, that gets my vote.

That would have been so useful to me only yesterday as I was doing a few find & replaces on a selection in a couple of files, so keeping the selection would be very welcome.

Cheers
Mike
