drop down menus don't close

Post by vfrrider99 »

When I create a horizontal menu with submenus, the submenus drop down as expected. However moving to a different menu they do not close. They only close when I move the mouse off them menu bar totally.

Is this expected behaviour, or is there an option to change the way this works.

It is the expected behaviour. We had a discussion about this during the development and I insisted that it should work this way. But I'm starting to realize that I might have been wrong :)
Do you find the current submenu closing behaviour annoying?

I have the same problem and think the behaviour should be changed as described by vfrrider99. The generated menu should work like the preview

Add my vote to this please! I also think that the sub-menus should close when "moused off" along the menu bar. I have noticed that the sub-menus close if the mouse pointer is held in the space between buttons for a short time, but you can't expect the average site user to do that!

Also, if you introduce a fix for this, would it be possible to let us know how to modify the .js file as I have created a complicated menu set-up with several instances of the menu for use in different site locations, and I would be loathe to generate all of them again from Easy Button and Menu Maker and then customise each one.

Thank you
