The previous functionality should have been kept in the new version. If you think this is not the case, please send a problem report to our support email address. Will do.
Interferes in this case also means "overrules".
In other words, the php open/closing tag background-color should be manipulated by the new Auto Complete HTML-tag coloring-function: its not HTML: its a serverside open/closing tag, so this should not become green- or red-backgroundcolor, like the other html-tags now do.
