'insert color' - or make it better by allowing picking colors from a much larger palette

Uh... I'm a newbie with web development
The main (actually only) reason I chose Blumentals WeBuilder from all the other products out there is because of all the functionality your looking at either removing and/or no longer supporting and/or no longer doing future development of...
I guess in short and simple terms.... I not only use it all... I need them all... (at least for now while I'm learning all this stuff...
)
Thanks,

I think speed is an issue. Karlis has one of the fastest editors around and I think it's smart for him to keep this key 'feature' in mind. To me, it is a feature and a great one. Start up has already slowed down between 2005 and 2007 and I appreciate that he's sensitive to it.
What's cool is that karlis is still open to feature requests but he also has to be able to manage the features-to-speed ratios and one way to do that is to remove older, less used items.

(This post is regarding RapidPHP)
I occassionally use the object browser and would like to see it stay.
As for managing layouts, while it's true that I never switch my layout once it's set up, I do like that it's physical files I can copy at the filesystem level for backup purposes (and since the location these are stored keeps moving w/ each new RapidPHP version). As long as there's some way to still do this I'd be fine seeing Manage Layouts go away...

Light editor mode without ftp support, no preview, limited project management, no object browser, limited code highlighting...drjee wrote:So what about a light mode (start parameter which disables some features which are responsable for slow down).
Ok, but seriously - who would want that? In the end it's like driving a car without engine

I think WB is cool as it is now (the only thing missing is some basic subversion support).
I feel strongly against chopping out functionality.
to-do: full-screen feature
