Error on preview toolbar?

I am using WeBuilder 7.1.0.67. When I click on the Internet Explorer icon on the preview toolbar, I am notified that the application is unable to create the Mozilla browser Activex object. There is certainly an option to download the Mozilla ActiveX component for FireFox from here, but this doesn't make sense to me in relation to an IE. Can you explain?

Well, if you do not use FireFox preview, you should not click the IE/FireFox toolbar buttons at all and leave it to IE.

Have you tried installing the Mozilla ActiveX control?

With the download, it's fine. It's only the fact that clicking the preview in IE button requests the Mozilla component that is unexpected. Off subject, may I add: this is a very nice application.

I'll see if anything can be done with that message. Does it appear every time you use Preview, even without clicking the IE icon?

Hiya, I had the same problem. It didn't matter whether I tried to preview in FF or IE the message kept appearing until I installed the Active X control.

I have a related issue as well. The view I get of the page in preview is rendered differently to the view in the actual browser.

Everything looked fine in preview using FF, then I loaded up actual Firefox, opened the page to run a Cynthia check and things didn't line up.

I had something slightly similar, but it was when a document was different from one flavour of Firefox to another. Turned out the HTML document didn't have an explicit DOCTYPE as the first line, so the browser was deciding what to do.
Have you a DOCTYPE set?

Please note that ActiveX control might not match the latest FireFox version. So you should update your ActiveX control time after time, because usually ActiveX version is released only some time after the FireFox.

Anyway, the activex control is a third party software, so we can not help with how it renders HTML. The fact is - it renders HTML very close to FireFox.
