I want to see this "Hello World.php" script that comes with "Rapid PHP 2006 (ver 7.3.0.69).....
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<title>Hello!</title>
</head>
<body>
<?
echo("Hello, World!" );
?>
</body>
</html>
but in my preview window (and in my browser too - IE6) it give only a blank screen.
If I make a "clean" php-script like this...
<?
echo("Hello, World!" );
?>
It shows the text "Hello World" as expected in preview (and browser)
Is there something wrong with my settings in "Rapid PHP 2006" ??
Best Regards

Re: php-script with blank screen in preview
This 'clean' file. What do you call it (ie, whats the extension?) How do you view it in your browser - browsing to it, dragging it in, etc?larshgf wrote:If I make a "clean" php-script like this...

Has your PC got its own web server?
Theoretically, the 'clean' file you gave, would simply view 'as is' in your browser, as it needs a PHP pre-processor to make it 'work'. IE itself will not be able to process .php scripts.
