Please try to follow these guidelines. This will help to receive faster and more accurate response.
  • Check the Support section of the corresponding product first. Chances are you will find your answer there;
  • Do not create new topics for already reported problems. Add your comments to the existing topics instead;
  • Create separate topic for each problem request. Do NOT post a number of non-related problem reports in a single topic;
  • Give your topic a meaningful title. Titles such as "A question," "Bug report" and "Help!" provide others no clue what your message is about;
  • Include the version number of the software you are using;
  • This is not an official customer support helpdesk. If you need a prompt and official response, please contact our support team directly instead. It may take a while until you receive a reply in the forum;

Chinese support

Post by etta »

I am a registered user of WebBuilder 2007. I just figured that it still does not support Chinese, though.

I have two screen shots to show how Chinese characters are scrambled. I can send it to you and talk about it.

Plus, you do not need to have a Chinese version of Windows XP to read/type Chinese characters. The most important difference in Chinese and English versions is that Chinese version has all the menus and messages in Chinese.

I use an English version. There is absolute no problem for me to read and type Chinese.

I can give you detailed instruction (just a few steps) to install Asian language support and input methods. (Actually, you don't even need to input any Asian characters in order to be able to do tests. You can just copy and paste from any Asian web sites.)

Hopefully I can be helpful to make supporting 2-byte Asian characters possible.

When you save as utf-8, do you include the meta tag for the utf-8 character set / encoding (goto Insert > Encoding)?

Yes I did. Chinese characters still scramble like that.

Unfortunately there are technical difficulties to show Chinese characters in the Editor component we are using. Not sure if this will change in the nearest future.
