Install to USB stick and desktop webbuilder won't validate

Post by richinri »

I installed my webbuilder to a USB stick and the desktop version now will no longer validate using the W3C validator or the CSS W3C validator. Only the USB version will validate using the menu options.
How can this be fixed?

Definite major bug with USB install

Post by richinri »

I installed Webuilder on a USB and my DESKTOP Webuilder W3C and CSS validation will no longer work. Proof that it is the USB install is if I install the USB drive - then the desktop Webuilder will validate.
I deleted the USB install using the USB uninstall file and it uninstalled the DESKTOP Webbuilder. It deleted the USB uninstall files and left the DESKTOP uninstall files in place.
I manually deleted the USB Webuilder and reinstalled the desktop Webbuilder and STILL the only way I can validate on the desktop Webuilder is if I have the USB installed - even though the USB no longer has Webuilder installed.
If this was a known bug this feature should have been disabled long ago. I cannot program the way I do without being able to validate as I go along.
