Hello,
i noticed a strange behaviour in WeBuilder:
If i search for a string in a newly opened document, the * appears in the tab, as i have had modified the document.
That confuses me often, as i don't know anymore i may have accidently modified that document or not.
Is that a bug or a feature? For me it seems like a bug though. :-/
Regards,
T.

Re: Search in Document, * appears as Doc has been modified
I am unable to reproduce this behavior. I tried it on several files. Any specific instructions?

If you get any ideas when exactly this happens, please let us know.

Sorry for the delay.
I tried to reproduce that behaviour a couple of minutes ago, but i couldn't reproduce it for now.
I'll try to find out when exactly that happens. I know that it bothered me a couple of times... but, for now, i don't know why its not showing up again!
I get back to you, if i know how to reproduce it.
Thank you.

I noticed now, that in one file .js-file, i just have to click around in some lines, to "mark" that file as edited.
In another .js-file, i couldn't reproduce that behaviour!
In a "find all"-action, i clicked on a result with 2 of those trailing squares and the doc got marked as edited.
Dunno why that happens...

Please send me the file to software[at]latnet.lv

I now know what the problem was:
I had checked the option "Remove trailing spaces and tabs", that seemed to cause unwanted changes on the document when just clicking around or doing some searches without editing.
Do you still need that doc? It's just a longer (1000+ lines) .js-file, though.
Regards.

Well, you have solved it then. And all is correct, indeed if the auto-space-removal is on, then the document IS modified automatically and all is as it should be. If you do not like this behavior just uncheck the option.
