How do I get the inpector to open when I click the item in the code explorer? Right now I have to click in the editor window to open the inpspector.
Also how do you get the code explorer to be displayed by default in the left panel display when you open a file?

You can turn code Explorer on or off through the View menu. As soon as you choose to turn it on, it is available until you close it.
As for Inspector, indeed you have a good point here. Inspector could display properties for the element selected in the code Explorer. I hope to implement this in one of the next updates. Thanks!
Please you can quicly turn on/off all panels using F4.
