Screensaver Install options

Postby mikemalphurs » Mon Apr 16, 2007 9:15 pm

I created a screensaver for a client who has some pretty strict tech admins running all their computers. After finally getting them to allow us to install the screensaver, they are now asking for some additional install options. Here is their request:

The screensaver looks great, but I canā€™t seem to find a way to install it silently. We do not use images when building machines. Instead all software is installed programmatically. Does the installer have any command line switches I can use?

Is any of this possible or is there a workaround? Thanks in advance for your help.

Another possibility would be a network install. Would this be possible?

Thanks again for any help you can give.

A screensaver is simply a .scr file, so you can package this up yourself. You can use Inno Setup to create a 'silent' installer.

Yell back if you need any assistance.

Alternatively screensaver file can be installed by copying the SCR file over network and using command line to install it. Admins should know how to do this.
