gameguard is not a mlaware
GAMEGUARD IS NOT a malware! Yes, it is the IncaGameguard thing that the previous fellow mentioned.
maplestory at Maplesea.com is a free game u might want to test it with. by the way, the latest version of iprotectyou is a good program that defeats gameguard easily. you might want to check it out?

registry tweak
if u are proficient with regedit, you would know tht it is possible to make the dchp and other services crucial to internet surfing dependent on inet service, and not start without it.
do it at ur own risk though. need help? jus leave a msg here.

stop gap measure?
hey karlis, maybe you could put in a mandatory windows log off option in the program to ensure that all processes in the background will be resetted when internet is disabled.
that would be a fantastic stop-gap measure. and save me twenty bucks buying another program that does that alone. LOL. =)

opera bypass
unfortunately, Opera does not respond to the blocking by inetprotector. i can verify that that is the case. i activated it, and then went ahead and surfed at a page NOT in my cache. (by going to a brand new page that i havent surfed previously)
the block did NOT work at all!
