Those are from IE 5. I replaced them with IE 6 files. No go - could not open files in HTMLPad. Error messages and lockup.

Restored Ghost and decided to leave well enough alone. :-)

The manual for 98Lite, which removes IE, states:

"Most applications that claim they need IE really only need the
MS HTML rendering engine (SHDOCVW.DLL + MSHTML.DLL). Many of
these continue to work perfectly under 98lite."

My PC spec: as you asked. W98SE in a very minimal, customised installation, 98Lite, etc. 512M ram, AMD Duron 1.6, No IE, no DirectX. Adding *.* to the file spec fixes it for me.

HTMLPad 2006 - FTP and Preview

I have recently purchased this excellent program, but have two problems: FTP: I like it (simple and integrated) but cannot upload pdf files that are used on my website. Of course htm and image files are no problem. I had to restore my old ftp program (Core ftp le) to upload pdfs. What am I missing ...
