I succesfully created an animation, but it shows only as a file. To view an image viewer opens. I wanted to be able to use to create pictures or icons, mainly for personal use. How is that done?

I understand that everything on computer is a file of some type. What I want to know is how to view the image just as I have made it, without opening a viewer, that is to actually see it as other images I have stored. For instance, if I wanted to use the image as an icon or show someone in an e-mail, how do I get to just see the image itself, not as file?

You can use gif images exactly the same way as you use other image types.

Then why doesn't it show like my other image files? Am I not understanding something? Thank you for your patience.

Thanks for your patience :)

It seems thet I have finally figured out. The problem must be that you do not see the file animated in each viewer or software. This is because only web browsers and some other tools can display GIF animation properly. Many regular viewers and e-mail clients can not handle GIF animation at all or the support is only partial.

:) Yes, that must be it, thank you. I guess I will have to look for a solution to that and try again!
