Hi Karlis,

As always excellent work on the new version, many useful features.

I'm still having the problem when I minimize the WeBuilder window as I posted here:
http://forums.blumentals.net/viewtopic. ... ight=#9732

I have to click on WeBuilder in the taskbar about 4 -5 times before it will restore after being minimized.

Also ALT-TAB does not restore the WeBuilder window when it's minimized.

I've had this on two PCs both running Windows XP Pro.

Please, report problems in the appropriate forum, unless you find a major flaw or bug.

Now I am unable to reproduce the restore-problem on any of our PCs and it is not being reported by other users (we have had only a few similar reports over years) which means it could be a conflict caused by some other software. In the other cases the problem was caused by some application switching utilities. Try removing any Windows addons or desktop management utilities, probably this would help.

I also have experienced this problem. I just happened to try it out after reading this post. If you click the minimize button, I can't restore it by pressing the icon in the taskbar. The first time I tried it, I was able to restore it using TAB-ALT but trying it again, that no longer works.

Other than that, so far so good. Keep up the great work.

BTW, I am also using a freshly installed Win XP Pro and I just upgraded from Webuilder 2007.

I'm on xp pro and the release candidate is restoring fine. It does sometimes take a bit (10 secs or so) to redraw.

Hi,

(Sorry Karlis, which forum would be the appropriate one?)

I'm experiencing something simular, although I did not minimize WeBuilder. After using some other programs I can't go back to WeBuilder again, and can't even close it, it doesn't react at all. I can only close it by Ctrl+Alt+Del and then I can start another session.

WeBuilder2008 (9.0.0.89) on winXP+SP2

I purchased the software yesterday, but this is not working for me.

It doesn't redraw for me usually. And it can't be my system. As stated I have a fresh install on a 2.4 Quad-core with 4GB RAM.

After about a minute, it turns into an unresponsive program. It happens whether I use the minimize button or Win Key + D.

I found that you can open up the task manager, right click Webuilder in the Applications tab and select bring to front. That seems to work.

Prevents me from having to kill the process and possibly lose my work since my last save.

Blumentals, please look into this asap. This issue is quite disruptive.

Thank you! Now I can do my work, more or less.
I'm keeping an eye on the circumstances that perhaps trigger WeBuilder to stay in the back. No clear results yet.

Any steps to reproduce the behaviour will be invaluable. :)

I get this too using RapidPHP2008 in Win XP Pro, SP2.

I have just installed Apache and I though it was something to do with that but it doesn't seem to be.

If I keep trying to restore the minimised icon, it eventually comes back, but in the mean time I get the thud error noise until it finally returns. Sometimes it comes back after 2 goes and it has come back after as many as 20 attempts.

If anyone wants to suggest a systematic list of things to try, I would be happy to attempt it as it seems my machine suffers from this anomaly.

Just another quick piece of information from my machine...

Restore only seems to fail after the window is minimised using the button in the top right hand corner. If the block on the task bar is used to minimise the window, the failure does not occur.

Click the minimize button on the WeBuilder window.

Can't easily restore the WeBuilder window from the Windows Taskbar.

As Andy said above, can take any number of clicks, sometimes a couple, sometimes seems like 10.

I have this on two PCs, only similarity is that they are both Dell and have Windows XP Pro.
One is my every-day work desktop PC, the other is our test laptop which apart from XP has a completely different setup.

Actually just noticed that Andy is also using a Dell... Hmm...

Just downloaded 9.0.0.92 and it seems worse. The minimized WeBuilder window is now permanently stuck in the taskbar, no amount of clicking will restore it.
Only way I can is to use task manager as sshadow2 said.

I've uploaded a screen capture to demonstrate, can be downloaded from here:

This seems to happen only for some users. That is why we can not reproduce and correct the problem.

We need to be able to reproduce this in at least one computer.

If anybody having this problem could gwet on the msn or skype with me, that would be great. The only problem is, I have a very busy schedule and we will need at least one hour... P.m. if you can/want to help here.
