Webuilder 2008 purchase

Post by bandrej »

Hi,

I need help - i would like to purchase 2008 / upgrade my 2007 license, but the link in the WB2008 beta points to the regular WB2007 purchase page.

The discount offer expires on Apr 30th.

Could somebody please point me to the correct link?

Thank you!

Hi There,

I don't think that applies - did you know the beta has been replaced with a release candidate just last Thursday ?

I think the upgrade price will be much the same when the final release happens.

I would very much like to know when we can purchase it though as my number of runs will run out soon and I am going away for 6 weeks soon and would like to have it all organised before I go.

cheers, Dave

I am having the same issue as bandrej. The pop-up add when I close the Webuilder RC clearly says I can save 50% by purchasing WB2008 by April 30... Yet the links lead to a WB2007 purchase screen at regular price.

Please post or email a resolution swiftly as time is running out!

Hi Guys,

Again I don't think time is running out - that time line is for last year's 2007 release !

They are hardly going to set a deadline for the offer when the product has only just had it's first RC release !!!!

Well, this is not an official statement (I do not know what Karlis thinks about this), however, I believe what Karlis meant by that offer window is that if you purchase upgrade to version 2007 now (the offer that is displayed in RC 2008), you will be upgraded for free to version 2008 when it comes out in one or two weeks.
I think it will also work the same way if you already have version 2007. If you upgrade now to version 2007 - might seem a silly thing to do, but you should be upgraded also for free to version 2008 (this might be of interest for people like daveporter).

Thanks Gatis,

Appreciate the clarification - I do in fact have 2007, but I'll be patient :))

Am I right in thinking that WeBuilder 2008 still has Release Candidate status, and that it should be -- all things being well -- available for upgrading to from 2007 sometime this month?

I remember when I upgraded from WeBuilder 2006 to WeBuilder 2007 that I was emailed inviting me to upgrade for a discounted price. I upgraded within 5 minutes of receiving that email! :)

Do you know whether this will be the same for 2008? I know I probably need to be patient, but I was just wondering.

(Nice to see the move to phpBB 3.0 by the way.)

Thanks again for a great application -- I'm drumming up support for it at work too, which is good.

I will send the e-mails :-) We just wanted to be really sure that there are no serious issues before we announce the final release.
