We need to be able to reproduce this in at least one computer.
True, I know how hard these problems can be to track down

One other thing i just noticed, if I right-click on WeBuilder in the task-bar and select minimize nothing happens.

I am also having this problem of not being able to restore from a minimized state on WeBuilder 2008. I purchased the upgrade so WeBuilder 2007 is still on my system and it does not have that problem. As someone posted previously, the following procedure works - until the bug is fixed:
"I found that you can open up the task manager, right click Webuilder in the Applications tab and select bring to front.
Prevents me from having to kill the process and possibly lose my work since my last save."

I am running WinXP Pro - everything is up to date. My WeBuilder version is 9.0.0.92

As I said, if anybody wants to help, please p.m. if you have MSN messenger or Skype account.

I will need to have you for 1 - 2 hours at the PC.

simmerin- What make / model PC do you have?
(Just trying to rule out the Dell theory ... although can't imagine how that would cause the issue...)

I think I found something that may allow you to replicate the error.

If I minimize when "File Explorer-Folders" is open and C: is expanded to view folders, or when in "File Explorer-FTP" then the problem occurs. If I go to "File-Explorer-Projects" or any other tab view then there is no problem. Out of convenience I left a few folders expanded so they would be there the next time I started the program and then I noticed this issue. I suspect users working with lots of files may be leaving their folder view in place because if you click into anything else the folders collapse but that does not happen if you quite and restart the program.

To answer your questions I have a new Dell 1504, 2gb RAM, 250gb HDD, Intel Duo-Core Centrino processor

Is the File Explorer docked?

Can everybody who has this problem confirm that this happens only when File Explorer is open?

Yes - file explorer is docked and my C: drive must be expanded to view folders in order for this to occur. I also noticed it in FTP view but not in Projects view.

I can confirm this, as soon as I close the File Explorer (View -> File Explorer) I can minimize and restore WeBuilder fine.
As soon as I turn the File Explorer back on the problem comes back.

More info:
The restore problem only happens if I have the File Explorer set to Combined View.
If it's on List View or Tree View the problem goes away.

I'd love to help via MSN or Skype, but those sort of things are blocked at our firewall

Actually it's still not 100% right with List View or Tree View, ALT-TAB fails to restore the WeBuilder window, but clicking on WeBuilder in the taskbar does work.

Turn off File Explorer completely and then ALT-TAB seems to work.

Does it make any difference whether focus is on the editor or on the File Explorer. By focus I mean selection - active item - caret.

Yes it does, some real odd things start to happen.

Set the File Explorer to Combined View, and focus is on either a folder name at the top, or file name at the bottom.
Minimize WeBuilder.
It can still get stuck minimized, but when it does restore one of two things happen:
Either the folder/file is set to be renamed, just as if I pressed F2 on it,
or the focus has moved away from the file itself, but is still in the File Explorer

Again it's very random what happens, and when it will decide to restore the window.

Just noticed that if File Explorer is in Tree View, select a file half way down the list, minimize WeBuilder, restore, the selected file is now at the top of the File Explorer window.

It's also getting stuck minimized when set to Tree View, but it's not "as stuck" as when in Combined View :?:

I have now two suspected lines of code. I will do an update either today or within next few days.
