HTMLPad is a good program. I don't think I will be upgrading though. I bought HTMLPad in November 2004. The price was sensible compared to many of the alternatives but the upgrade cost is too much IMO and so the attraction of HTMLPad is somewhat lost.
In particular, stopping bug-fixes for HTMLPad 2004 is outrageous. I only bought the software 6 months ago.
Too sorry to hear that. Unfortunately we have only two options either we charge 15$ for upgrade or we are out of business. Most of our competitors charge much more (30 to 80$). Also attempt to keep maintaining old version would be financially negative.
If you are having financial difficulties and this is the only thing that prevents you from upgrading, please drop me a message and I'll see how this can be solved so you get the latest version. We must help each other, right?
