Replicable Crash

Post by davenz »

Hi guys

Can anyone confirm this crash please?

Open WeBuilder (latest version). Make sure the File Explorer is open and displayed.

Set File Explorer view to Tree View

Try to drill down below the level of the current project by clicking the 'up one level' folder icon (highlighted in screenshot).

If I try to go beyond the 'My Web Sites' folder by clicking twice on the 'up one level icon', boom! Crash with option to send bug report, which I have done.

Anyone else?

Cheers

Hi Dave,

Yes, I can re-create the error here.
WeBuilder comes up with the send bug report message, just sent one myself, take it you have to?

Hi Mike

I'm not sure it we 'have' to, but if it helps the team track down a bug, then I am more than happy to. I sent a couple; I'm not sure if they were different but I'm picking they would be the same root cause so sending more might be a little gratuitous.

Thanks for taking the time to try this out.

Have a good one..

Dave.

Hi all,

yesterday I send also a bugreport reference the File Explorer (in Combined view)! I'm working several hours without a break or restart with WeBuilder and if I open files by double click, the programm crashs. Unfortunately only coincidentally, so after 1-2 hours.

I have the latest Version (9.0.0.97) and this crash situation I see first with 9.0.0.96 (and i think, that is coincidence, blumentals software crash never 8) ). But now, WeBuilder crashs 3-4x by day and I deleted all older versions...

I hope for fast help,
Turicon

Edit: I have WinXP, ServicePack 2 with all regulary updates

Edit 2008-07-01, 13:30: Today I have two crashs. Each crash comes a short time after FTP-Upload. Perhaps does that help?

D'oh, that'll teach me not to read what I type properly!

What I meant to say was: take it you have sent one too? never mind!

We will try to look into this next week. I was unable to reproduce this, but I believe there could be a problem.
