Preview enhancement

Post by davenz »

I would like to see an improvement in the preview area, in which the preview window would auto-scroll to preview at the place in the page I am actually typing/editing code. I have some pages that are quite long, (which is not really relevant as even short pages require scrolling in the half-page preview window I use), and when the preview refreshes, it always starts back at the top of the page and I have to scroll down to see any changes. When I make another change in the code, the preview refreshes and it starts back at the beginning again. If the preview automatically scrolled to the part of the page where I am coding, it would improve my work flow and user experience greatly. I realise some users may want the page starting at the top each time, so perhaps an option to 'jump to edit in preview page' or something?

Just my two cents.

Kind of requested back in 2006

But more recently in August by Midipixel.

A nice idea though.
