Save Verification
Another feature I would like to see in a future release is for save button to be disabled if a save to the current file has been done since open, but no changes have taken place since the last save. Also, along the same line, for a newly opened file which has not had any changes applied to it. Thanks. Scot L. Diddle

Re: Save Verification
Yes there is a modified identifier on the tab bu tht eye naturally navigates to the save icon when you need to recheck if you have saved it or not. I can understand why some people don't want it. In that case can this option be made configurable ?
Thanks

Actually, my eye naturally navigates to the tab down below to see if there's an asterisk.KeithHurst wrote:Yes there is a modified identifier on the tab bu tht eye naturally navigates to the save icon when you need to recheck if you have saved it or not.

Re: Save Verification
Must just be the software I'm used to using then... I've always gravitated towards any SAVE icon which might be visible.

Re: Save Verification
I like and prefer the * in the tab convention; I gave gotten into the habit of checking there rather than even thinking of looking at the save icon, which I have never relied on to tell me save state in any software. As I am in the habit of using Control + S every ten seconds, it is second nature for me to have saved everything anyway, which comes from using flakey editors in the past and getting sick and tired of losing stuff.
As for Wordapd, no MS applications I know of use a faded save icon to signify an unsaved state; come to think of it, I havent used any applications that use that feature at all.
Dave.

Re: Save Verification
The advantage of the * in the file tabs is that you can instantly see any other files that have not been saved apart from the one you're currently editing.
Changing the save icon would only indicate the status if the current file, so you'd have to tab through each one to check.
The other editor I use works the same way as WeBuilder, although it uses icons rather than just a *
