Re: webuilder find dialog box
Hi there.
While the find dialog settings are remembered during a 'session', closing WB 'resets' them to neutral. I agree, this could be a nice feature, though I think this belongs in the Feature Requests. No doubt Chris will move it..
Dave.

{moved to feature requests}
This is, I believe, "on the list". It has been partially implemented. If you go to prefs>search you can tick "Always start search from beginning" which is the same as "entire scope".

Re: webuilder find dialog box
Hi,
We are going to improve the find in next major version, because we see there are lots of requests regarding this functionality.
Besides, we will try to add some other nice features that speed up development, like word coloring discussed here.
What relates this feature request and also this one(discussing also Warp at end), we will have the "Wrap at end" remember it's state between sessions.
However, other Find window Options (like 'Case Sensitive', etc.) will not remember their state between sessions. This seems to be the default behaviour of other major code editors and other products (like MS Word, etc.). We think it is the best solution for now. If somebody thinks otherwise, comments are welcome.

Re: webuilder find dialog box
I know there are many points of view on the Find dialog, but it does not seem intuitive in WeBuilder 2011. I would like it to remember the options selected while WeBuilder is open, but reset when you start another session. When you choose "all open documents", something logical should happen to the other options, as most of them do not make sense when searching multiple documents, and I always wonder if I need to tend to "backward" or "wrap around", for example.

Re: webuilder find dialog box
I tend to agree about re-setting settings on new sessions.
Backward and wrap around works - backward - the search will go backwards through all docs and wrap around will wrap search from the last doc to the first, so they kind of work as if all documents were one big chunk of text.
