Images in code

Post by mavoric »

A bit of a wierd one but I got the inspiration whilst writing some code recently.

Some pages can get so bogged down with text, would anyone find images in their code helpful? I don't mean huge pictures of your pets, but i.e. if you are coding using php and mysql and you lock a table, you could put a little padlock image in somewhere and then an open one when you unlock it, or a mysql logo where all the queries are.

Does anyone else think this could be helpful or was i just in wonderland?

This would be cool about the first 2 times you saw it, but then would get real annoying real fast. I would think that would slow things down quite a bit of you had enough images going on.

Personally no, don't think it would be a good idea.

Would make the screen very very messy and cluttered, and I would imagine it would slow the whole thing down a lot trying to work out what icon to put where and manage them all while scrolling about.

Keep it clean & simple.
