adding new file types

Post by didgy58 »

hi all i have a slight problem im using version 9.2. and have started to look into developing with the cakephp framework, now to create the view files with this framework the files need to be named .ctp, when i have created one of these files in the correct folder rapid php cant see it, is it possible to setup rapid php to recognise this file type as i dont know exactly where i should be looking...

thanks

Hi Dan,

Are you looking in the "project" view? If so, open up the project settings (Project->Manage Projects->select your project->edit) and make sure *.cta is in the "files of type" list. I actually just put in "*.*" in the field for every project because I kept having to go edit it for random file types.

Does that solve it?

Thanks very much syrupcore that worked a treat, is there not a way to make this the default for all projects or is this purely on a project to project basis that i would have to do this.

your help was very much appreciated

it's project by project, I think. It only takes a sec to type in "*.*" though when you make a new project.
