project by project line breaks/encoding

Post by syrupcore »

Mostly just a "nice to have" but certain projects I work on really require unix line breaks and others really require windows line breaks. I switch it via preferences when I need to. Would be great to be able to specify this on a project by project basis. Same for ansi/utf-8.

Thanks
Will

Hmm. An idea here that could either work or you'll stick your tongue out and go 'yuuuuuuurrrk!!!'
How do you open these files? If via double-clicking, then it would be easy to create a 'launcher' program which could identify whether the file was unix/windows based, change the setting as required in the registry, and then pass the file onto WeBuilder. The downside (I assume) is that if WeBuilder is already open, nothing will happen, as WeBuilder isn't a multi-instance app. It could be a pain closing it down to open another file, etc.

Let me know, and I can knock something up. :)

you are a dear man for offering but I think it'll be just as easy to change the setting and then restart the program when I need to switch. rare that I need both at once as I'm generally working on project a then project b.

so rad that you could actually code that! I'm still such a noob.
