text editor color presets

Post by patrickh »

I'm using WeBuilder 2008 v9.4.1.103

Hi, I was wondering if there were any presets available for darker color schemes (gray/black background), or would I need to go through all the elements and set them by hand? Thanks,

Patrick

You will have to do this by hand! I am sorry, currently there are no presets.

I'll tack my old question on here... is there a way to back up your custom colors?

Yes, backup/export your whole settings.

thanks but that didn't work for me after the last last update (v9.1.0.98 I think). I did it via the menu item "export settings" and grabbed a copy of my %appdata% folder. What's the actual file that needs to be restored? I have my custom colors on my unupdated laptop and could move it over but I can not find which file to move.

thanks,
will

When you do the settings export, you must clock Options -> Export Settings and follow the exact procedure (close WeBuilder when asked and copy the files you are told to right away). The highlighting settings are stored in the registry but during setings export they are temporarily stored in an ini file from where they are imported back into registry the next time settings are read.

I am confused. I am using the latest version of Webbuilder and xp sp2 and when I click Options - Export Settings, exit immediately and look - the directory they tell me to copy doesn't exist.

Is it possible the folder is not visible?
Have you tried to enable "Show hidden files and folders" in Windows Explorer?
Kind regards,
