sound problems

I'm trying to make a screensaver using a video clip (.avi file) -- there was no sound, so I extracted the audio from the clip and added it separately as a music file. The audio plays fine when I used the Sound Preview Player, but when I previewed the screensaver as a whole, the video plays, but not the sound. How do I solve this problem? Thank you.

You can play either video or sound file, but not both at the time. Most likely you did not hear sound because the sound attached to the video avi was compressed in some unrecognizable format. Please try radding sound to the video in an uncompressed format.
