webuilder 2008 " no disk in drive " error

Post by kenknight »

Hi all,

purchased webuilder 2008 yesterday and today when I start the app I get an error " There is no disk in the drive..."

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

never mind I figured it out. Essentially I have a network drive mapped to my local computer. I had not logged into that drive yet, so the File Explorer in WeBuilder 2008 was complaining that it couldn't access that drive letter.

Cheers!

Well done getting that worked out and enjoy the software. The file explorer has it's quirks as well, which no doubt you will encounter, just don't expect it to work exactly like the Windows version.

Cheers

Dave.

This error is shown by the internal file explorer machinery if it wants to show some drive that is not accessible.

It is allright to have such drives in your system, but if you have previously worked with this drive, it was remembered and once you re-opened the program, it wanted to get you back where you were and pre-select that drive, this is why it was so nervous about it not being available. Pick another drive and the notification message should go away even if you choose not to connect the drive.
