WeBuilder 2010 PHP Preview Help

Post by dynocat »

I just started using WeBuilder after loving HTML Pad Pro for years. Right now I have an Evaluation Copy, Version 10.01 (10.0.1.117).

I've read the other threads on this and followed the help instructions, but am still lost.

I opened a file, "templates/header.tem.php," and get this error message when previewing (in any browser):
Fatal error: Call to a member function getCharset() on a non-object
The first line of the php file code is:

Code: Select all

<?php print '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="' . $lang->getCharset() . '" ?>' ?>
I followed the help instruction for Options/Preferences settings:
Preview/Mappings - "Use folder mappings..." box unchecked
Script Preview - "Use built-in Web server" checked, Web server settings is "C:\php526xd\php.exe," which is the correct path.

What am I missing?

This is not an error in WeBuilder. It is an error in your PHP code. Everything actually is working fine if you see this error. It is PHP telling you that your script has problems.

Obviously $lang->getCharset() is not valid.
