When doing a search and replace across an entire project, I would like to see the message window display all the files changed or at least the total number of files changed or at the very lest a message saying it is finished!
A list of files changed would save me from having to leave the editor to open the Windows Explorer and sort on date to see if all the files I expected to be changed actually where changed.I have not found a way to change the sort in the built-in file explorer. Am I missing something?

Re: Search & Replace reporting
It is possible to change the sort order in the built in file expolrer.
Right-click in the file list, but make sure you don't actually click on a file, and you'll get a little menu where you can change the sort order.

So, the message pane at the bottom of the screen can be used to display the results.

Thanks for the tip on sorting - it will be of some use - now if we only had a scroll bar at the bottom of the file explorer so it would be easier to see the date column.
Yes "ringoffire"- that is exactly what I mean and the message window is where the results should appear - in my opinion.

I just posted another thread about this, not seeing this one at first. I agree too!
