Search In Files "Cancel" Button Not Working

Post by CaliforniaJerry »

Problem Description:
Performing Search In Files, CPU is 94%; Can't cancel the action; Clicking "Cancel" button doesn't work. Clicking upper right "X" to close window terminates WeBuilder app completely.

Settings:
Search for: (single line)
Options: Display detailed results
Look In: Folder
Files of type: *.*
Close when completed: Not checked

Hi,

The cancel works for me, just tried it a couple of times.

I did notice that WeBuilder only used about a max of 14% CPU for me while it was searching.

I do have 10.1.0.119 which is the latest version.
Also XP Pro SP2, but on a dual-core Intel CPU.

It is best to not perform file search on all files (it will look into all image, flash and video files and that will be slow), but in any case, Cancel should work. Worst case scenario is that Cancel would engage some 1 - 15 seconds after being pressed, depending on what CPU and system load you have.
