You get this message in which program? WeBuilder? RapidPHP? I use many different FTP servers and have never seen this message with any of the Blumentals software I use, though to I don't usually hang around logged into the ftp servers; I just upload and log out. I have just tried logging in using WeBuilder 2010 and leaving it logged in; I don't get that error, even after 15 minutes. How long before it usually pops up on your machine? Some FTP servers have inactivity time-out periods that are quite short, but because there is nowhere in any of the Blumentals software I own to adjust the FTP timeout period or send a 'keep alive' signal, and you probably can't adjust it at the server end, you might be stuck with it.

Thee is built-in keep-alive. The problem is that the (I do not know how to call it otherwise but stupid) FTP server developers are doing everything to detect automated kep-alive attempts and still drop connection after a time of inactivity. We will try to improve this and make the keep-alive even more advanced.
