[v10] Cursor delay if inspector-window is visible

Post by fredegar »

Hi,

I use the latest version of WeBuilder (10.2.0.121) on Windows 7/64.

If I repeatedly press the cursor key while the Inspector window is open, the cursor delay in the editor. If the Inspector window is closed, there is no such delay.

I created a video to show this problem:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U28YRD4DWTg

At first, the window on the right is closed and the cursor works fine. Then the window is visible and the cursor delays.

That's the only thing that bothers me about WeBuilder.

Hi,

Just watched your video, and then tested on my system.

I don't get any delay at all with the inspector window open.
I guess the delay is because WeBuilder is updating the Inspector window as you move.

What spec is your PC RAM etc, how old is it, and what OS are you using?

Well the PC spec shouldn't be a problem.

Could be due to Windows 7 64 bit, still on XP here!

Nothing here either, WeBuilder latest build available, but with Windows 7 Ultimate, on my i7 Quad-Core machine with 6 gig RAM and a WD VelociRaptor master hard drive my machine might just be punching right through it.

If I turn off all the "Highlight"-options, it is generally a little better:

It seems as whether WeBuilder need quite a few resources to display the Inspector. The fan of the computer running the ads of the Inspector fairly often.

We will try to look into this. I can say that here on Windows Vista 32-bit I see no delay. Strange.
