weBuilder 2010 Displaying my local language characters

Post by abdalaziz »

Dear friends all 8)
I'm a user for weBuilder 2008 and now 2010 and with the using at most ANSI and writing in Arabic characters, the window that I used windows xp professional, vista home basic and now 7 home premium Arabic for medial Este. And with up to vista Arabic is working ok, but with 7 the Arabic in your application only on my system stopped working.
What did I fined  , is that your weBiulder is not excepting the characters of any language other then English or western set, other wise it will except it as unicode-8, and by writing the same Arabic word but saving it in unicode-8 it worked properly  .
I tried to use the font and check the system local language for Unicode but no effort.
The same file I opened in notepad or other programs it becomes Arabic in yours it is something else.
I need help in an emergency level, I have a project to deliver.

You must save files as UTF-8, it is the only way to have Arabic charactetrs saved properly. There should also be the UTF-8 encoding meta tag. I notice in your sample you have windows encoding and not utf-8.

Dear : Karlis
on  windows 7  this problem cam, I was using WeBuilder 2008 on windows xp and windows vista and this problem was not there  .....?
and even when I update my weBuilder to 2010 on vista and it writes Arabic :P the same way....
but win I bot this laptop that have windows 7 home pre. the problem came  , and I like you to notice something else!!!!!! :?:
It don't uses the local characters set :( , It uses :o the ANSI American character set, that is the real problem source.
If it will uses the system (local characters set) it will work correctly directly 8) . This is not the only program that have this problem. But it is the only one  that some times it writes in Arabic (it happened up to now once) then returned to stop working  . I hade to reinstall the program  .
The other subject you have spoken of is using UTF-8, this is if I will write in more than one language in the same time. I'll use mostly Arabic and English only at this time, there will be coming projects in UTF-8, but not now  .
And how dos it work in vista xp and not in 7.

With Arabic characters the only working solution is to use UTF-8. Due to the way how ANSI character sets work, it will be extremely difficult to work in ANSI mode. But if you want to work in ANSI mode, you absolutely must make sure that your system default encoding for non-Unicode programs is set to Arabic.

problem is in weBuilder 2010 Displaying my local language

Post by abdalaziz »

Today I saw something new 8) , that pushed my to search. I was writing a long 1100 line code in php using ANSI writing Arabic (Window)(1256) in Western European (ISO) characters this is what I mean
صندوق البريد = ƕƤƸƦƲ ƇĆƈƑƭƸ
In the browser it will be the same, using ANSI, so what was rowing?
When I open or save a file in Unicode the language in the ANSI is disrupted :evil: and have became so bad, this will give more information for you;
?C?E C????? ????UE ??EIC????? A? ?EIC?????
This is may name it was before now
ßÇÝÉ ƇĆƨƲƦƲ ãÍÝæÙÉ ĆÚÈÏÇĆÚÒíÒ Ć‚Ć ÚÈÏÇĆãÍÓä
and it prints on the browser as
كافة الحقوق محفوظة لعبدالعزيز آل عبدالممحسن
but after saving it was modified as a Unicode from ANSI and become bad  !!!!!
this problem is converting a ANSI to Unicode I saw before in Nokia  !!!!!!
Note that the language on my system is Arabic (Saudi Arabia) and all other editors now work except yours?!!
Image
Still I tray to use it and find a method to fix it, Microsoft informed me :!: that you are the ones that must contact them if the problem still for support!!!
In all previous versions your editor is working fine :? , and in windows 7 ultimate it's working fine  , but in other windows like my windows is home premium and basic gave this problem :( .
  I wrote long lines I can't every time rewrite them again! :| :(

Today, a few minutes ago I open a file with ANSI coding, it have Arabic as my systems language is, the characters become in Arabic  . I  noticed that then :| closed the program  , then reopened the WeBuilder 2010 and reopen the file; it fixed it to the ANSI using the European characters.(I wish that you had fixed it to have Arabic-My systems default language, but what can I say)
In checking how :?: :?: , it is by tow things. The time and Unicode and ANSI files saving and opening that contain Arabic, and that the system wanted in hibernation.
And still there is no fix!!!!!!!!!

Today my friend I started to use only utf8 files, so I can get reed of that problem and got now this problem.
The cookies don't work.
The connections to DB don’t work.
The included files don’t work.

And when I search the problem in the internet, I found a lot of :? people spoke  of the same thing  , and it was found that all most all browsers send a key indentifying the page as a utf8 / Unicode / uft16 that began the page, and stop sending all other things, like that something started as the header. And that had stopped any coding that need to be before the header. I'm still working to find a way  .
But is there an answer to my main problem so I can stay working with my local language, I had used this program since the start 2008, and I like to stay using it…..
With love

السلام عليكم
(As-Salāmu `Alaykum)

This is thinking on the top of my head; perhaps it isnt Webuilder at all BUT that the issue may be the server on which your data files may reside.
I have seen somethign similar to this in the past upon which the sever made a conversion irrespective to the encoding of the document(hmtl, JavaScript or CSS).

Check server to see what the OS is set at. It is only a thought BUT worth checking out.

With respect to using uft-8 make sure that it is the 1st statement within the header.

For html, xhtml; <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
For html5 ; <meta charset="UTF-8" /> NOTE: for/in html5 documents this must be within the first 512 characters in the html5 document and therefore the better to place it immediately right after the <head> section/statement.

Why?

The meta tag really has to be the very first thing in the <head> section because as soon as the web browser sees this tag it's going to stop parsing the page and start over after reinterpreting the whole page using the encoding you specified.

I'd even go one step further and add the following line as the first line in
CSS - @charset "utf-8";
JavaScript - <script type="text/javascript" src="[path]/myscript.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

If your server is an Apache server then you should also add in the .htaccess files (Apache Only)
You can also configure your webserver to serve all .js files in the UTF-8 charset, or only .js files in a single directory.
You can do the latter (in Apache) by adding this line to the
.htaccess file in the directory where your scripts are stored: AddCharset utf-8 .js

I hope this may give you a better insight IF not a solution.

There will be a problem description in my web site of that subject when I'm finished my main work. It isn’t the WeBuilder or any other editor. That is by the web system, it send a head value of 4 Bites telling the system that this file is utf-8/utf-16/Unicode, and that isn’t my case.
Now I started to use a new method of contacting utf-8 with ANSI using the identification header utf-8, it work with other editors and ANSI but with WebBuilder, when I reopen the file, it is converted automatically to utf-8 without BOM, that started when I was required to write a file of coding with utf-8 without BOM, now the system is changing every file to utf-8 without BOM automatically :x .
How about that! And way?
