Hello there,
Not a big deal but it is annoying. I jut moved to new win7 based machine and moved over my settings and layouts....life is good....except I just noticed the icon in the dock is not being recognized.
Anyone had this issue?
win7 32bit / WeBuilder 10.2.0.121
This is a known Windows 7 issue. Possibly something to do with icon caching or similar.
My start menu shows almost one-third of the icons missing, even though going through the usual icon changing procedure shows the icon there and available for use - Windows just doesn't display it correctly.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. As for what icons are affected, I haven't seen any rhyme nor reason as to which ones show and which don't. You can try different colour depths and resolutions and sometimes they will show but most times they stubbornly remain hidden, with the default 'unknown' icon used instead.
Thanks Dave,
I have managed to fix this by:
- Deletion of the "IconCache.db" C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local and NOT C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming where settings of WeBuilder are stored.
- Restarting explorer.exe (rebooting)
Thanks!
