Preview Pane, Refresh Issues

Post by Ed S »

I'm new to WeBuilder and I'm absolutely loving the latest evaluation version so far. I would like to buy it, but I'm afraid I'll miss out on the new version coming out.

I'm noticing an issue with the preview pane. It doesn't seem to refresh on its own. I have checked the settings and tried toying with the refresh timer, but nothing seems to do the trick. The only way I can get the pane to refresh is by switching the browser preview from IE to Firefox or manually refreshing the pane.

I'm running Windows XP.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

Please tell us what is the file type you are previewing?
What exactly are the Preview options under Main Menu; Options; Preferences; option group "Preview"?

Kind regards,
Gatis

Hi Gatis,

The file is XHTML 1.0 Transitional. It has a .php extension. Preview options are Mozilla (default, but I have also tried IE), preview documents without saving (checked), refresh timer 2, temporary folder (local folder) Use built-in Web server (checked).

Thanks!

Hi,

No file with PHP extension will be refreshed automatically. This is a feature for your own security.
We were thinking about allowing this as a special option which must be explicitly enabled, but currently it is not available.
