WeBuilder 2011 Beta1: Using the syncronised preview

Hi,

We have received the following question:

I tried to figure how to use the synchronized preview but I am unable

*The feature works only in Internet Explorer.

1) Open either Horizontal or Vertical Preview mode;
2) You need to enable the feature from the Preview pane; Command "Tools"; "Synchronize with Cursor (IE only)"
3) Then you can click in the code area, and the preview window will be focused in the correct position;
4) You can click in preview; the cursor will be placed at the corresponding place in code.

P.S
Currently there is a known bug when Access violation occurs one some HTML documents when this feature is used. The fix should be available with next update for beta version.

I did the specified steps and got nothing (maybe because I was testing an php file instead an html one.) I did test now with an html file and I get just one synchronized view but the file is kind of tricky. Maybe there are some caveats for using this feature in this recent version, if so, can you detailed for us?

Sorry to disappoint you, but only HTML files have the ability to be synchronized with preview. Possibly we will add more (PHP?) in future, but I am not sure if and when.

I am not sure what do you mean with "I get just one synchronized view ". Can you please explain?

Means that I click in several places both in the code and the preview and just once I get the synchronized screen.

But, I have to try again more deeply. I'll let you know.

The sync feature will work better with next update (the positioning should find correct cursor/preview focus place better). The crashing should also be gone.
