how do i set the shadow effect on my image

can some one please tell me step by step how to set the shadow effect on my image.. i can see it in the window that pops up for settings but no where to click apply just bought this.. would like help please..

In order to be able to use the shadow effect your animation must have transparent parts - it must be something on a transparent background. To add shadow, you simply select the area you want to add shadow and use the transparency tool.

To try this out:
1) Create a new frame
2) Select whole frame, press Delete, this should Delete everything and you should now see a transparent background (squared area)
3) Paint a circle or a small square or anything
4) Select whole frame and then click Selection -> Shadow

You should see the effect.

thank you i will try it out... im geussing the same steps for saturation??? or is it diffrent. i can see the change in sat but cant set it

For saturation, you have to simply select an area and click Selection -> Adjust Hue/Saturation

Hi Karlis:

We just purchased and activated Easy Gif Animator 5.1 Personal version.
I followed the instructions that you posted in May 02, 2010 to generate a shadow effect.
In the pop-up window that appears when you select "Shadow.." , the shadow appears,
but there are no buttons in this pop-up window to apply the effect to the main frame.
The pop-window is cut off directly below the blur and intensity sliders. Expanding this window does not reveal the buttons "Reset" "OK" "Cancel" as shown on http://www.blumentals.net/egifan/whatsnew.php#sparkle .

The execute buttons are also missing from the pop-up window for "Adjust Hue/Saturation " option.

Do I need the Professional version or is there something I am missing.
