typing in file explorer

This has been killing me for years now. When in the file explorer or ftp i like to type the file name so i can find that file. just like windows explorer. it continue to highlight files as you type till you finish typing. not in the search box but within the actual folder. as it is now if it will only look at the first letter of each file.

Please Please Please. This is such an important feature. I have directories with 100+ files. Continually scrolling through the explorer is so irritating. I have been using notepad++ just because of this but i always come back because it is a great application just lacking this one feature. please make this a must do for the next release. PLEASE!!!!

Hi,

I am not sure if this is intentionally made the way it is now, or the component we are using for File Explorer does not support the default behaviour which can be seen in Windows Explorer.
I will add this to our suggestion list, and it will be reviewed and possibly implemented with next version (but no promise here).

So i just downloaded and installed 2011. It great but missing this one so important feature. Is this in the works? It would be so helpful you just don't understand

Sorry, but we just did not have time to implement this.
Your suggestion is added to our to-do list. We shall review it and possibly implement it as time permits.
Personally I think this is a good suggestion and should be implemented.
