BOM or no BOM?

Post by FrankC »

Hi,

WeBuilder (v. 11.01) asks if it should write/save in utf-8 with or without BOM. I searched the Help file but that doesn't cover it. What is BOM and what should I choose?

Thanks. From that page: "For instance in PHP, the existence of a BOM will cause the page to begin output before the initial code is interpreted, causing problems if the page is trying to send custom HTTP headers (which must be set before output begins)." Reason enough to put WeBuilder in no-BOM mode.
