Automatic update notifications (inc. Twitter)

I'm using WeBuilder 2011. One feature that I'd really appreciate would be something that regularly checked for updates and told me that a new version of the software was available. I know that you can do this manually from Help > Check for New Version... but I'm busy -- I don't always remember, and even when it does tell me that there is a new version I like to know what that version includes so have to visit the forum for details.

The last update is a point in question. It provided some really significant fixes and performance improvements that I wouldn't have known about if I hadn't remembered to manually check for an update. WeBuilder is a really key part of my development toolbox and any updates really do make a difference to my efficiency as a coder. So I'd like keep up to date with these as quickly as you post them.

I do keep an eye on the http://twitter.com/blumentals account -- I've even subscribed to it as a feed in Outlook so that I can keep an eye out for updates -- but it's updated disappointingly infrequently. Even posts about updates there would be a great, quick workaround. But if there was an option in the application to check for updates once a day, once a week, once a month or however often and then a pop-up or other notification method (an icon that lights up, perhaps) would alert me with details about the update and what it includes that would be super.
