WeBuilder. Upload project files to FTP bug

Post by OMEN »

WeBuilder 11.1.0.128

When trying to publish project files to FTP-server and those files exist on remote server WeBuilder asks to overwrite them.
If I choose to replace files one by one (first button in dialog) then It's OK.
If I choose "Replace All" then only one file will be replaced and others will not :!:

I was not been able to reproduce this issue. All files were replaced as expected.
Note that you have to mark the files you want to upload to FTP server on the "Publish Project to FTP" dialog.

Can you try the same on a different FTP server?

This is very good ftp-server.
Something I noticed: if in the settings of this FTP-server in File Explorer I uncheck option "Display overwrite prompt" all selected files are replaced properly and no one is skipped!

Works fine for me with all the files I tried, including PHP, PDF, html and image; does it do the same thing for you with images and other types of files? (I see you are using PHP files in your example).

the same behavior with images. and if I can fix this FTP-problem by only adjusting program options what else should I say? obviously this is WeBuilder bug I think.

I also just added a new site to Webuilder 2010 and ONLY for this site do I get the question each and every time I publish to overwrite. Since this was a new site I figured it was a setting that I need to investigate.

As of today I have tried every which way to Tuesday to get WeBuilder to publish to my site.

I am getting error 10053 or 10060. This also occurs with a second platform.

I am running SFTP port 22 passive (default) or non passive.
Ive tried declaring default remote directory or not.

There was no issue until today. The site was last published to on 10.26.2011

Filezilla with same setting has no issues. and fortunately I can use as backup FOR NOW.

Usually Winsock error 10053 “Software caused connection abort” is related to network problems, not software. The error happens when the local network system aborts a connection, which might happen if the remote host didn't acknowledge data even after retries.

Winsock error 10060 “Connection timed out” is a connection time-out error that occurs if the software does not receive a response from the remote FTP server after a command is sent.

Thank you for quick reply
Any suggestions?

This is a windows 7 64 bit Ultimate, that has had no problems up to todays attempt to update the site.

I have performed a reboot of the os which did not change the situation.

With filezilla I have run both sftp and ftp on port 22 and both seem to work just as well. I do not get any registration with the server that an attempt was made. It may be possible that a setting has changed with firewall though as far as I see Webuilder is enabled as an exception. Webuilder has no issues with attaching to any other sites e.g. godaddy or private port 21 servers.

Any suggestion would be gratefully appreciated.
