When tidy is invoked, the messages window pops open if it is closed.
This is annoying, because it steals space or gets in the way.
My current workaround is to float the messages window, resize it as small as possible, then close it. The next time I invoke tidy, the window pops up in the upper left corner, but it is really small. It is still slightly annoying, but at least it is out of the way (PLEASE DO NOT "FIX" THIS 'BUG').
I would really like it if there was a way to turn off the messages window so that it was never displayed. It is easy to tell if Tidy isn't running due to an HTML error, and if one wants to see the messages, one could turn the messages window back on (View...Messages).
Thank you!
"Permanently" turn off messages window

Do you know about the option that allows not to show tidy if there are no warnings / errors?
The solution for you would be to
1) configure your tidy task to output no Warnings
2) enable option "Display messages only if errors/warnings found"
since no Warnings would be displayed, if there are no errors, the window would never pop up.

Where to find that option?
I couldn't figure out where this option is in HTMLPad 2005Pro v 6.02.2) enable option "Display messages only if errors/warnings found"
I looked in Options, preferences, and it doesn't seem to be an option.
Could you please point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
