not able to save file in Windows 7

Post by JanvW »

I use WeBuilder 2011 (11.1.0.128) in Windows 7 and I regularly can't save html-files because of a read-only bug in Windows 7. I can't sav the the file under the same name. The solutionsfor this bug offered on the internet seem to help, but not all of the time. The strange thing is that I can save these files a few times (with WeBuilder), but then all of a sudden I get a pop-up window stating that the file is read-only. So, when I have the file opened with WeBuilder the status of the file seems to change to read-only. Could this be a problem with WeBuilder or could this problem be solved with WeBuilder, or is there something else I can do to solve this problem?

I had something similar on my computer which turned out to be Windows Live Mesh related. For some reason Windows Live Mesh kept blocking access to the files saved and once I closed it (in system tray) the problem went away.

Thanks fot the reply, but I do'nt have Windows Live Mesh. I couldn't find another another program or proces which could interfere with the html-files. However I can save the same files over and over again with other programs like Word, notebook or Arachnophilia. But, I would like to use WeBuilder. What more could solve the problem?
