At the top of the library dialogue there is an Edit Library icon (or right-click and choose Edit Library); click it and use the up and down arrows to arrange the items in the library; not exactly sort by name/date etc. and a bit fiddly but usable none-the-less.

I see. But it takes a lot of time. I am looking for an utility which order XML files preserving character references. I can't think of an another way to solve this problem.
